7 Ways to Serve the Best French Fries
Talk about American dining pleasures, not many can rival a really great serving of French fries. This is especially so because if you’re like me, we most often get mediocre French fries which are still pretty good. But, when you get those perfect French fries……that’s just heaven in a bag. Many feel that Great Wraps serves the best French Fries anywhere, and Great Wraps takes tremendous pride in doing that. Here’s how Great Wraps serves up the best French fries:
- Great Wraps doesn’t serve boring straight French fries like everyone else….or heaven forbid those cheap, crinkle cut French fries you ate back in grade school. No, Great Wraps serves unique, curly cut French fries. They’re far more interesting and fun!
- Great Wraps French fries are not those thin fries, either. You know what I’m talking about…..more like those potato sticks that come in a can. No, Great Wraps French fries are the perfect thickness so you get a hot, crispy outside, and moist steamy potato on the inside.
- Great Wraps French fries are always served piping hot. Great Wraps would never serve cold French fries (yuk!) or, Heaven forbid, serve any customer “Re-Dips” (triple yuk!) like so many others do.
- Great Wraps serves their awesome French fries in their proprietary bag, which causes the French fries to keep their heat longer.
- Great Wraps cooks their French fries in trans-fat free oil (of course), so they’re healthier than other French fries.
- Great Wraps gives you a big portion of French fries. Remember the feeling of coming up a few French fries short? Didn’t you just hate that?! Surely you know that “French Fry Rage” is more dangerous than “Road Rage”. Well, that doesn’t happen at Great Wraps.
- And here’s the best part: You can spice your French Fries any way you like at the Great Wraps Spice Bar. That’s right! We’ve developed our own fabulous flavors, and you apply any one (or all of them) to create French fries that reflect your personal taste. Great Wraps is the only sandwich shop that offers French fries this way.
So, there you have it. Serving fabulous French fries takes focus, the right ingredients and lots of love. And once you experience French fries like that, all others will only fill the time (and your stomach) between bites of your sandwich.
Cheesesteak – Philly-Style or Wrapped?

No doubt that an American sandwich classic is the Philly Cheesesteak, and for good reason. I went to college in Philly, and I remember many, awesome Philly Cheesesteaks. OK, some Philly Cheesesteaks were consumed late at night after much partying, and I don’t actually remember THAT Cheesesteak….. but I do remember being quite content. UUUMMMM, remember the last fabulous Philly Cheesesteak you had, with that hot combination of grilled steak and melted cheese, served up in a warm hoagie roll. A great Philly Cheesesteak has such a familiar taste that even a first-timer would recognize it. Sure, there was the quintessential Cheesesteak argument of whether Pat’s or Geno’s made the best Philly Cheesesteak in Philadelphia, and that war still rages on today. That’s all part and parcel of the urban legend behind the Philly Cheesesteak, and it has spread all over this great Country.
Great Wraps offers the awesome Philly Cheesesteak, and it’s one of our most popular sandwiches……but that’s because we offer a Philly Cheesesteak with our own twist. You see, we believe the only way you can improve on the perfection of a Philly Cheesesteak is by serving it WRAPPED. That’s right, a Philly Cheesesteak Wrap. What better way is there to release all the flavor of the hearty, grilled steak and melted cheese than by eliminating all that needless bread. Even if you’re not concerned about all the wasted Carbs, just consider how fabulous a Philly Cheesesteak would be if you could really get down to the sizzling hot meat and cheeses quicker. UUUUMMM, now that’s what makes a Philly Cheesesteak! Well, there’s one more thing Great Wraps does to make a Philly Cheesesteak Wrap so good it’d make Philadelphia proud. Great Wraps GRILLS the entire Philly Cheesesteak sandwich until it’s golden brown. That’s right – a Philly Cheesesteak Wrap that’s grilled on the outside, hot on the inside and exploding with Cheesesteak taste. Move over Pat’s and Geno’s, Great Wraps is poised to become part of the Philly Cheesesteak urban legend.
Grilled Sandwich – The New Comfort Food!

Call me crazy, but is this question almost laughable: Would you rather have a grilled sandwich…… or a sandwich that is un-grilled, un-toasted, or un-heated (in any way). We’re talking cold, chewy regular bread? Excuse me, but is that like the server asking: Should we cook your steak or serve it to you raw? OK, a tiny few might order steak tartar (fringe freaks!) ……..but a grilled sandwich just sounds so good! Why? Well, just consider the beauty of a fresh grilled sandwich or grilled wrap sandwich. Hot meats and melted cheeses, with a distinctive tasty sauce and cool/fresh produce are all wrapped up. And then the whole wrap sandwich is placed on a Panini grill. No, I’m not talking about the type of Panini grill that digs those stupid lines into your grilled sandwich and leaves your grilled sandwich as thin as a saltine cracker. I’m talking about a grilled sandwich that comes out like that gorgeous grilled cheese sandwich your Momma made you when you were growing up. Remember that grilled cheese sandwich? It had that perfect light golden brown color, and had a little crunch on the surface but was moist and hot……and that combination cleared the way for a taste explosion in your mouth. And it also had an inexplicable X-Factor – the “COMFORT” of knowing that Mom made it AND the subtle reminder that she loved you with every ounce of her being.
Yea, maybe that grilled cheese sandwich was no ordinary grilled sandwich. Maybe it was a sign from above that for a brief moment, the world was perfect (at least for you). Yea, there could be something there. You think?
So, the next time you have the opportunity to enjoy a grilled sandwich or a grilled Wrap sandwich, consider this: Would you prefer a grilled sandwich that delivers texture and temperature that cause all sorts of bodily pleasures, combined with the comfort of Mom’s love & (temporary) world-peace……….or would you rather have a cold turkey sub with mayo?
Chicken Sandwich – Better as a wrap !
Chicken sandwich, chicken sandwich, chicken sandwich – if I eat or even see another boring chicken sandwich I think I’ll scream. You know what I’m talking about……that generic, grilled chicken breast sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo (or honey mustard if you’re lucky) on that generic hamburger bun you’ve eaten a million times. In fact, I would argue that this combination of basic ingredients isn’t even qualified to be called a chicken “sandwich”. My little boy has always called a chicken sandwich a “Chicken Burger”. And while I never corrected him because I thought that reference was so cute, I now see the brilliance in his little mind………Turkey Burger, Veggie Burger – “Chicken Burger”. It could be that the “burger” is now more a shape or a format than an established chopped meat sandwich. So, in the near future when you order your burger, the attendant just might ask you WHICH burger (i.e. which animal will that burger descend from).
I love it when chains proclaim their chicken sandwich as the BEST Chicken Sandwich in town…….isn’t that like claiming you have the best bottled water, or maybe that you serve the best mayo or something. Sorry, but a chicken sandwich (eeerrr, chicken burger) all taste pretty much the same to me. Yes, the trend is to healthier products, and that’s why the chicken sandwich has become so popular. But where can you get a chicken sandwich that really delivers?
For many, the chicken sandwich WRAP is beginning to take over as the new chicken sandwich. In fact, in the race for customer satisfaction, the chicken sandwich Wrap “laps” the chicken sandwich because it takes the chicken sandwich benefits to a whole new level. The chicken sandwich Wrap offers more sauce variety and taste, it’s more convenient and portable, offers more variety in ingredients, it’s more healthy, and it’s far less bread’y and carbo-laden. It’s just a better way to eat a chicken sandwich. If you’re lucky enough to live near a Great Wraps, try the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap or the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. If you can’t get to a Great Wraps, any great chicken combination wrapped up is more of a chicken sandwich than a “chicken burger”.
